We at Datavend Internet Services (DVIS) want you to know how we protect your personal and financial information [*] submitted to us. We believe that the privacy of your personal and financial information is one of our most important values, and that the protection of that information is a key component of our services to you.

The policies outlined below describe DVIS's policies to protect your privacy.


Collection of Limited Information

DVIS collects and uses only that information which is required to administer our business and provide high-level service which is personalized to you and the way you use Datavend.net. We believe that we do not collect any information which is not germane to these purposes.


Company-Wide Privacy Training
Employees company-wide are educated about the importance of our privacy policy and the need to protect your personal and financial information. Your personal and financial information is only known to those employees who have a legitimate business need for access to such information. DVIS has initiated security standards and procedures to restrict access to your personal and financial information.


Restrictions on Disclosure of Information
DVIS will hold your personal and financial information confidential, and will not disclose such information to any third party unless (1) you so request or require, (2) disclosure is required to complete a transaction you have initiated, (3) disclosure is allowed or required by state law, or (4) disclosure is required to process, complete or collect upon transactions in connection with DVIS's services to you. In the event that any of your personal and financial information is provided to any third party, DVIS will insist that the third party will adhere to similar privacy standards.


Maintenance of Accurate Information
DVIS will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal and financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. We will respond to any request to change, update or alter your personal or financial information.


You're Right to Know
You have the right to request a statement from DVIS regarding what information we keep about you and how that information is used. You have the right to require DVIS to correct, modify or update any information which is proven to be inaccurate, outdated or incorrect.


Spam Policy
The practice of sending unsolicited mass mailings ("Spamming" or "Mail-Bombing") to DVIS members is not allowed without prior written permission from DVIS. Accordingly, DVIS does not allow its members to use their accounts to send unsolicited mass mailings or otherwise assist in sending unsolicited mass mailings. We have prohibited the use of member accounts to harvest or collect information about our members for the purpose of organizing unsolicited mass mailings. DVIS intends to put procedures in place to detect and prevent some mass mailings. However, it is not possible for DVIS to control the practices of Websites or other entities in this regard.


Methods to Further Protect Your Online Privacy

1. Never give your password to anyone online or to anyone who is not authorized to use your account. DVIS employees will never ask for your password online, through email, or at any time other than through our customer service center.

2. Make your password unique and private to you, and at least six (6) characters long. Do not use the same password for more than one service. Avoid using your birth date, social security number, nickname, or any word or phrase that is not unique.

3. If your password does become known to any unauthorized person, change your password immediately by logging in to your control panel and selecting change password.

4. Report any abuse or disclosure of your personal or financial information directly to DVIS by clicking here.

* For the purpose of this privacy statement, "personal and financial information" shall mean your telephone number, your credit card number, your debit card number, your checking account number, or other method of payment submitted to DVIS.
